Slow-Cooked Jerk Pulled Pork

Tender slow-cooked jerk pulled pork served with pineapple slaw, fresh lime wedges and soft bread rolls.

Slow-Cooked Jerk Pulled Pork is rich, tender and ideal for feeding a crowd. Orange, lime and pineapple add fruity sharpness while the meat slowly absorbs the bold Caribbean-inspired seasoning. It gets its bold flavour from our Jerk Seasoning.

🧾 Ingredients

  • 1.5kg boneless pork shoulder
  • 3 tbsp Jerk Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 150ml pineapple juice
  • 1 orange, juice only
  • 1 lime, juice only
  • 2 tbsp tomato purée
  • 150ml chicken stock
  • Soft rolls and slaw, to serve

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 150°C/130°C fan/Gas 2.
  2. Rub the pork with the Jerk Seasoning and brown sugar, then place it over the sliced onion in a lidded casserole.
  3. Mix the garlic, pineapple juice, orange juice, lime juice, tomato purée and stock. Pour around the pork.
  4. Cover and cook for 4½–5 hours, turning once, until the meat pulls apart easily.
  5. Shred the pork with two forks and stir it through the reduced cooking juices. If needed, simmer uncovered briefly to thicken.
