Tikka Masala Paneer & Pepper Skewers
🔥 Tikka Masala Paneer & Pepper Skewers
These Tikka Masala Paneer and Pepper Skewers are colourful, smoky and packed with warm aromatic flavour. Cubes of paneer, sweet peppers and red onion are coated in a yoghurt marinade made with our Tikka Masala spice blend, then grilled until golden and lightly charred.
They are perfect for summer barbecues, meat-free dinners or sharing platters, and they can also be cooked beneath an indoor grill when the Cornish weather has other ideas!

🍳 How to Make Tikka Masala Paneer & Pepper Skewers
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes.
- Mix the yoghurt, Tikka Masala, lemon juice, oil and salt in a large bowl.
- Add the paneer, peppers and onion. Fold gently until evenly coated, then refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Thread the paneer and vegetables onto the skewers, alternating the colours without packing them too tightly.
- Cook over a hot barbecue or beneath a high grill for 10–12 minutes, turning regularly, until the paneer is golden and the vegetables are tender with charred edges.
- Rest for 2 minutes and serve with lemon wedges.
🍽 Serving Suggestions
Serve with mint yoghurt, warm flatbreads and salad, or slide the paneer and vegetables from the skewers onto spiced rice. They also make a colourful addition to a barbecue sharing table.
✨ Why This Recipe Works
The yoghurt marinade helps the seasoning cling to the paneer and vegetables, while lemon adds freshness. Large pieces remain juicy during grilling and the lightly charred edges provide a delicious smoky contrast.
💡 Cooking Note
Paneer softens as it cooks but should hold its shape. Turn the skewers carefully and avoid leaving them over fierce heat for too long.
