Piri Piri Prawn Tacos with Mango Slaw
These vibrant tacos balance warm Piri Piri prawns with juicy mango, crunchy cabbage and cooling avocado. They are fresh, colourful and ready in around 25 minutes—ideal for an easy Friday-night dinner or relaxed summer lunch.
🥣 Ingredients
- 400g raw peeled king prawns, defrosted if frozen
- 2 tbsp Piri Piri Seasoning, divided
- 1½ tbsp olive oil
- 8 small soft tortillas
- ¼ red cabbage, finely shredded
- 1 ripe mango, diced
- 1 avocado, diced
- 2 spring onions, sliced
- 2 limes
- 3 tbsp plain or plant-based yoghurt
- Fresh coriander, optional
👩🍳 Instructions
- Pat the prawns dry, then toss with 1½ tbsp Piri Piri Seasoning, the olive oil and the zest of one lime.
- Mix the cabbage, mango and spring onions with the juice of half a lime and the remaining ½ tbsp seasoning. Fold through the avocado gently.
- Stir the yoghurt with a squeeze of lime to make a quick cooling drizzle.
- Heat a large frying pan over a high heat. Cook the prawns for 3–4 minutes, turning once, until pink, opaque and completely cooked through.
- Warm the tortillas, fill with mango slaw and prawns, then finish with the yoghurt drizzle, coriander and lime wedges.
