Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte
A proper pumpkin spice latte should taste creamy, warmly spiced and unmistakably like coffee—not like a cup of syrup. Pumpkin Spice makes that balance easy, combining the familiar warming flavours in one ready-to-use blend.
Real pumpkin purée gives the drink gentle body and an autumnal richness. You can make it with dairy or plant-based milk and adjust the sweetness to suit your own mug.
🧾 Ingredients
- 250ml milk or unsweetened plant-based milk
- 2 tbsp pumpkin purée
- 1–2 tsp maple syrup or soft brown sugar
- 1 tsp Pumpkin Spice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 double espresso or 60ml very strong coffee
- Whipped cream, optional
🍴 Instructions
- Put the milk, pumpkin purée, maple syrup, Pumpkin Spice and vanilla into a small saucepan.
- Warm gently while whisking until steaming and completely smooth. Do not let it boil.
- Froth the mixture with a milk frother, stick blender or vigorous whisking.
- Pour the espresso into a large mug, then add the hot pumpkin milk.
- Top with whipped cream if using and finish with the lightest dusting of Pumpkin Spice.

🥗 Serving Suggestions
Serve immediately with toast, granola or a warm pastry. For an iced version, cool the pumpkin milk completely, pour it over ice and add cold espresso.
💛 Why This Recipe Works
Heating the pumpkin with the milk removes any raw flavour, while whisking before the coffee is added creates a smooth drink with an even balance of espresso, sweetness and spice.
