Ras El Hanout Lamb Koftas with Mint Yoghurt
These juicy lamb koftas are packed with herbs and the warm, aromatic character of Ras El Hanout. Served with cooling mint yoghurt and warm flatbreads, they work beautifully for a relaxed summer meal or an easy family dinner.
🥣 Ingredients
- 500g lamb mince
- 2 tbsp Ras El Hanout
- 1 small onion, grated and squeezed dry
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley or coriander
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 200g Greek yoghurt
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh mint
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Flatbreads and salad, to serve
🍳 How to Make It
- Combine the lamb, Ras El Hanout, onion, garlic, herbs and salt in a bowl. Mix gently until evenly combined.
- With damp hands, shape the mixture into 10–12 short koftas. Chill for 20 minutes if time allows.
- Mix the yoghurt, mint and lemon juice, then season lightly and refrigerate until needed.
- Brush the koftas with oil. Cook on a hot griddle, barbecue or under a medium-high grill for 10–12 minutes, turning regularly, until browned and cooked through.
- Serve with mint yoghurt, warm flatbreads and a crisp tomato and cucumber salad.
